Cancer Care India (CACI) is the largest network of cancer support groups in the Indian sub continent. CACI was established in the year 2000 by people working as volunteers in cancer support organizations to combat the growing menace of cancer at National and International level with a vision to have cancer free world.

As per WHO 2020 report on ranking cancer burden in terms of new yearly cases being reported, had ranked India the third position after China and US respectively. As per ICMR report the number of Indians suffering from cancer is projected to increase to 29.8 million in 2025 from 26.7 million in 2021. Estimated mortality due to cancer in India was 7,70,230 in 2020 , 7’89,202 in 2021 and 8,08,558 in 2022.

As per WHO report cancer causing infections, such as HPV – Human Papilloma Virus and Hepatitis , are responsible for approximately 30% cancer cases in lower and lower-middleincome countries. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancers of women in India, despite being largely preventable. Creating awareness about HPV vaccination is the current focus
